Top 20 Golden Boy Award 2024 Finalists

The final Top 20 nominees for 2024 Golden Boy Award have been announced.

In the list of nominations released by the Italian magazine Tutto Sports organizer, Barcelona’s 17-year-old talented young player Lamin Yamal, Barcelona’s Pau Kurvasi, has only one Arda Güler from Real Madrid.

English club Manchester United stars Kobi Mainu, Alejandro Garnacho, and Lenny Yoro have been named on the final shortlist for the prestigious Golden Boy award.

The Golden Boy Awards were established in 2003 by the Italian sports magazine Tuttosport. This annual award is given to young football talents (wonderkids) playing at the top level of European nations under the age of 21.

Generally, a player can win this prize only once, the winner of the prize is determined by vote. Sports journalists participating in the poll include journalists from Bild (Germany), L’Equipe (France), France Football (France), Marca (France), Mundo Deportivo (Spain), etc.

Each voter can nominate five players with 10 points for most influential player, 5 points for second, 3 points for third and 1 point for fourth and fifth.

This award is equivalent to a ‘Mini Ballon d’Orfor young players. The player who wins this award is considered as a potential big star player of the future.

This year’s Golden Boy Awards will be held on December 17 in Turin, Italy. Check out the list of top 20 nominees for 2024 Golden Boy Award below:
