Barcelona’s Predicted Starting Line-Up Against Atletico Madrid in La Liga

FC Barcelona will host Atletico Madrid at the Camp Nou on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, kick-off at 20:00 UTC.

Manager Hansi Flick will likely have his strongest starting lineup of the season against Atletico Madrid.

Pedri is set to make his first start against Atletico Madrid, with the 23-year-old midfielder returning from a 30-minute substitute appearance in Saturday’s 3-1 win over Deportivo Alaves.

Frenkie de Jong, who was ruled out of the Alaves game due to personal reasons, is also expected to start against Atletico.

Flick was impressed with Gerard Martin’s performance at centre-back against Alaves and could use him again alongside Pau Cubarci against Atletico.

Atletico Madrid are in excellent form, unbeaten in their last seven matches in all competitions, including a 2-1 Champions League win over Inter Milan and a 2-0 La Liga win over Real Oviedo.

Flick is likely to use Erik Garcia in a pivotal role, which could see further adjustments in midfield.

Defender Ronald Araujo is likely to miss his second consecutive match due to illness.

Goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, midfielder Firmin Lopez and young star Gavi will be out.

Barcelona are top of the table with 34 points from 14 matches, while Diego Simeone’s Atletico are fourth with 31 points.

Barcelona have won three of their last five matches against Atletico in all competitions.

Barcelona Predicted Starting Line-Up: Garcia; Kounde, Garcia, Cubarsi, Gerard Martin, Balde; De Jong, Pedri; Yamal, Raphinha; Lewandowski
