“France Football” has announced the full list of the Ballon d’Or 2024 Award nominees. Last night, the initial nominations for this year’s award were announced in France, including the best 30 players.
This year’s Ballon d’Or nominations also include some young players, whose names have also been set. This year, the main contenders for the award are Spanish club Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham, Danny Carvajal, English club Manchester City’s Rhodri.
English club Manchester City‘s goal machine Arling Holland, retired German player Toni Kroos, German club Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane have also been nominated.
Spanish club Barcelona‘s young player Lamine Yamal has also been nominated. He became the youngest player to be nominated for the Ballon d’Or award. Two big names are missing in this year’s nominations.
Lionel Messi, who won 8 times, and Cristiano Ronaldo, who won 5 times, were not nominated for the Ballon d’Or award for the first time.
This year’s award is the 68th edition. The award will be announced on October 28 in Paris, France. “France Football” will announce the top 10 nominations from the initial 30 nominations.
This year’s award will be mainly contested between Vinicius of Brazil, Rodri of Spain and Dani Carvajal of Spain. In that too, Vinicius Junior of Real Madrid is seen as the No. 1 contender. Check out the Ballon d’Or 2024 full nominations below.
