After the departure of Xavi, former Bayern and Germany manager Hansi Flick has taken charge of FC Barcelona for the 2024-25 season.
Barca had a disappointing 2023-24 season, finishing second in La Liga after losing to arch-rivals Real Madrid in the finals and being eliminated by PSG in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals, also with a 4-2 score in the second leg.

Barca will start off their pre-season tour in the US against the formidable Manchester City in the
city of Orlando towards the end of July.
The second game of their tour will feature the traditional EL Clasico against their arch-rival Real Madrid at the Met Life Stadium in New Jersey. Xavi’s side won last summer’s El Clasico 3-0 at AT & T Stadium, Arlington.
On 6th of August, Barca will once again face off against AC Milan as their wrap-up match in Baltimore. In their previous pre-season tour, Barca lost the game against AC Milan in a 0-1 before heading back to Catalonia.
Upon their return, Barca’s last friendly match before the new season will be against the Ligue 1 team Monaco in the Joan Gamper trophy.
The match will take place on the 12th of August at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys.
