Real Madrid draw 0-0 away at Rayo Vallecano and drop šŸ points! A win for Barcelona tonight would cut the gap at the top to just šŸ‘ points!

Real Madrid played out a goalless draw against Rayo Vallecano at Estadio de Vallecas on Sunday, dropping two crucial points in the La Liga title race.

Despite dominating possession, the team failed to breach Rayo’s sturdy defence.

The result keeps Real Madrid atop the table with 31 points from 12 games, five points ahead of Villarreal, though Barcelona could narrow the gap to three with a win over Celta Vigo.

Rayo extended their unbeaten home run against Madrid to four games.

Attacking trio Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham were repeatedly held back by a well-organised Rayo Vallecano defence.

Real Madrid created a few clear-cut chances, with Arda Guler’s long-range effort and Jude Bellingham’s blocked effort representing their best chances in a disjointed first half.

The second half saw a slight improvement, but Kylian Mbappe squandered a key opportunity, summing up a frustrating night for Madrid.
