UEFA have released the Champions League 2024-25 Group Stage Fixtures For Real Madrid. The match time of the league stage for Real Madrid is set at 21:00 CET.
Defending Champions will start their first match of the Champions League 2024-25 league stage on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, against Stuttgart at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Los Blancos’ last match of the league stage will conclude on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 with a match against Brestois 29. The Blancos will play a total of eight match days.
The second match of the league stage will take place on Tuesday, 1 October at home to French club Lille, while Matchday Three will be against Borussia Dortmund, the team they defeated in last season’s final.
Carlo Ancelotti‘s side will welcome AC Milan home for Matchday Four and travel to England for Matchday Five.
The match will be against Liverpool, the team that defeated them in the 2018 and 2022 finals. This match will be played at Anfield, the home ground of ‘The Reds‘.
And Matchday Six will be at home to Atalanta BC, while Carlo Ancelotti’s side will play Matchday Seven at home against FC Salzburg.
Madrid will play Borussia Dortmund, Milan, Salzburg, Stuttgart , Liverpool, Atalanta, Lille, Brest with four home and away games in the league phase.
The draw for the league phase of the Champions League 2024-25 took place in Monaco on Thursday afternoon, with the giants of European football discovering their opponents for the new-look competition.
Europe’s most prestigious competition will experience a significant format change for the first time in 32 years.
The biggest change in the Champions League new format is in the group stages. Previously, teams played against each other home and away in a round-robin format.
In the new Format, each team will face eight different opponents, four at home and four away.
The top eight teams will automatically qualify for the last 16, teams from 9th to 24th in the league phase will have to compete in two-legged play-off matches to secure their place in the Round of 16.
while teams from 25th to 36th will be automatically eliminated from the competition. The knockout stage will feature home and away matches leading up to the final in the traditional knockout format.
