Since 2014, Sevilla have won the Europa League 5 times.

Atalanta BC are the 2023-24 UEFA Europa League winners. Real Madrid, the most successful team in the UEFA Champions League, also won the UEFA Europa League twice in 1985 and 1986.

The UEFA Europa League, formerly known as the UEFA Cup, is the second most prestigious club football competition for European clubs after the UEFA Champions League, established by UEFA in 1971. In 2009, the UEFA Cup was renamed the UEFA Europa League. The tournament was played on a home-and-away basis until 1996.

Clubs qualify for selection based on their performance in domestic league and cup competitions. Tottenham Hotspur won the first edition in 1972, while Sevilla have won the title the most seven times.

The UEFA Europa League has been won fourteen times by Spanish clubs, followed by Italy 10, England 9 and Germany 7 clubs.
