Nine Barcelona players who have never played at the Spotify Camp Nou – Historic home debuts await return in 2025.

As FC Barcelona prepares to return to the newly renovated Spotify Camp Nou against Athletic Club on Saturday, November 22, 2025, a group of nine first-team players are set to experience the iconic stadium as their home ground for the first time.

After playing “home” matches at the Estádio Olímpico Luis Copa in Montjuic for more than two and a half years, the partial reopening of the Camp Nou, with an initial capacity of around 45,401, marks the beginning of a new era for the club.

This will be a particularly emotional moment for the eight players who joined Barcelona during the renovation period and have never played a competitive match at the historic ground.

The nine Barcelona stars who have yet to experience the magic of the Camp Nou are players who have proudly worn the Blaugrana but have never heard the famous Camp Nou roar in a competitive match.

The Nine Barça Stars Yet to Experience Camp Nou Magic

Nine FC Barcelona first-team players are set to experience their first-ever competitive match at the renovated Camp Nou when Barça host Athletic Club on Saturday, 22 November 2025.

Among them is Espanyol’s summer signing Joan Garcia, one of Spain’s brightest young goalkeepers, who returns from a medial meniscus injury suffered on September 25.

After successful surgery and a smooth recovery, the 24-year-old is expected to start marking his Camp Nou debut in a Barcelona derby.

La Masia standouts Pau Cubarci, Fermín López, Marc Casado, Gerard Martín, Pedro “Dro” Fernández, and Marc Bernal will also get their first taste of the new home stadium.

Bernal, who spent 382 days recovering from an ACL and meniscus tear, has been carefully reintegrated by Hansi Flick and is close to earning his first start of the season.

New signing Rooney Bardaghzi and returning star Dani Olmo (who has surprisingly never played a competitive match at Camp Nou) complete the list of debutants.

For seven academy graduates and two major signings, Saturday’s clash will be a historic and unforgettable moment, marking the beginning of a new era inside the revamped Camp Nou.
