Real Madrid have renamed their stadium from the ‘Santiago Bernabeu’ to just the ‘Bernabeu,’ with this new logo.

Real Madrid have officially shortened the name of their iconic stadium from ‘Santiago Bernabeu’ to just the ‘Bernabeu, ‘ unveiling a bold new logo that reflects the venue’s futuristic design following a €1 billion renovation.

Long known as the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, the venue will now officially be known simply as “the Bernabeu.”

The club’s announcement on Wednesday is more than just a simple name change – it marks a full-scale rebranding to reflect the stadium’s modern architecture and expanded role as a multi-purpose entertainment venue.

The new Bernabeu logo features a minimalist, contemporary design directly inspired by the stadium’s revolutionary exterior.

Moving away from traditional football symbols, the logo symbolises the venue’s evolution beyond the football pitch, highlighting innovation, sophistication and the club’s vision for the future.

The stadium was originally opened in 1947 and was renamed in 1955 after the club’s famous former president, Santiago Bernabéu de Yeste.

By retaining the name “Bernabéu”, the club ensures that the deep historical ties and the memory of its iconic leader remain at the heart of its identity.

The €1 billion renovation, which includes a retractable roof, a renovated exterior with steel panels, and enhanced hospitality areas, has successfully established the Bernabéu Stadium as a symbol of innovation while paying tribute to its rich 75-year history.
